The Baker’s Wife

Not all that is sweet is good. The same can be said of the unassuming wife of the palace baker. But when luxury becomes intoxicating, the only way to have fun is to swap the sugar for salt and watch as the faces of the dukes turn from pompous to sour. This trickster lives among courtyards and cloisters, but always as the handmaiden or the seamstress. Always, that is, until she dons the disguise of the mysterious Duchess of Rouen.
